Abstract：This study proposes a cleaner production (CP) indicator system for China's petroleum refining industry from a life cycle perspective. Traditional CP audits focus on production stages, neglecting upstream (e.g., raw material supply) and downstream (e.g., product use) impacts. The new system integrates carbon emission indicators to align with carbon neutrality goals. It emphasizes energy efficiency, pollution reduction, and sustainable supply chain management. The framework addresses limitations of existing standards, such as incomplete indicators and subjective evaluations, providing a holistic approach for green chemistry and industrial sustainability.
